2 more sleeps

2 more sleeps and I will be in Italy! I've been busy making lists these past few weeks, doing a brain dump of all the things to pack, do at home and at work before I go. Then another list of things people need to know while I am gone. It's going to be an adventure, and I honestly think I will spend the first few days just coming to terms to actually being there.

Also happily, my garden gave me some beautiful heirloom tomatoes before I leave.. These are the first of the beauties, a brandywine and 2 purple cherokee tomatoes. And can I just tell you how delicious they were? I was able to get a few more yesterday, so it's all about BLT's, caprese
salads and just plates of fresh sliced tomatoes at my house- I've been gorging on them, along with the pounds of beans, zucchini and fingerling potatoes I got. Summer came to Seattle, albeit about a month too late. There are still scores of tomatoes on the vines, and they will
likely go to the food bank while I am away. I'm just happy, happy to my garden soul, that I was able to enjoy some before I leave.

Ciao!
