I've just spent the past 7 days in Sayulita, Mexico with friends. Sitting on the beach, reading, soaking in as much sun as humanely possible. Recharging my batteries; they were drained so much they were merely flickering.
Our lodging for the week was a little random, to say the least. Not at all what I am used to in PV; it was lovely, clean, and comfortable. It was situated among permanent residences, most of which had chickens. and roosters. Which meant starting at around 5 am, the roosters began crowing. Add to that the assortment of dogs barking, cats fighting, or random parties; or the trucks with mounted megaphones selling anything from gas to fish out of the back cab each morning beginning promptly at 7 am... well, it wasn't the most relaxing of accommodations!

The week consisted of as little planning as possible. The biggest decision of each day was where to eat for dinner. A little jaunt to Punta de Mita for a boat ride to the Mariettas Islands, and lunch at Cafe des Artistes-one of my top 5 restaurants ever. The food was just as beautifully presented and delicious as ever. We even got to see a big group of dolphins on the boat ride; they played with the boats for a while.
The week was filled with buckets of sunshine, delicious food, and great company. Could I ask for more?
