Strawberries

3 day weekends are the best, don't you think? I slept in on Saturday and then had an amazing dinner with H&G that evening, filled with many good laughs. Spent Sunday pouring wine, and had two sets of friends come in to taste. Always fun to see a familiar face in the winery and share our delicious wines with them. On Monday, after a very leisurely morning, I met Sarah and Sage for strawberry picking at Harvold Farms in Carnation. This is our second year picking together. The day started out overcast, but it was comfortably warm as we spent our time hunting for the best berries.

10.5 lbs of strawberries later, we were done.. and even though I promised myself I wouldn't do much jam this year, I promptly came home and made strawberry jam! If only every weekend were a 3 day weekend..
