Early in the month, I took Olaiya's holiday gifts cooking class with Paula and Tamara- we made delicious treats like ginger shortbread, clementine marmalade, and chocolate toffee. Everyone went home with 12 little packages of treats. I only kept 2 of the packages for myself (that toffee was quite delicious!) and dropped off treat packages to my building manager, my massage therapist and hairdresser. I felt like a champ getting these out the door!
One cold night in December, S and I went to the Grapekillers Party in Woodinville. A group of six wineries hosted a holiday party of wine and appetizers- a progressive wine tasting, if you will. A lot of laughter, good food and delicious wine made for a great evening. There were a few divine dinners out with friends; always feel so lucky to have friends that share my passion for good food.

Christmas eve I spent with D and her family; her home full of family, holiday chaos and good cheer. It was a lovely evening and was touched to be a part of the celebration. Christmas dinner was spent with friends, enjoying their annual christmas dinner of prime rib. I've been sharing christmas dinner with them for 6years now; they are amazing hosts, the food is always delicious and the company just enjoyable beyond measure. I was happy to wake up on the 26th and know there was just one more holiday to slog through, to get to the other side of 2010. And while the holiday spirit didn't move me, the peeps that fill my life did.. again and again.
